I am Diane Tipping; married to Steve we have four children and five grandchildren.

I have lived in Calderdale for 37 years for the last 30 as a Christian worshipping at the King's Church.

I have been involved in working with young people and children all my Christian life and long to see more and more touched by God.

I have been involved in youth work just about all my adult life. My parents were not church goers, so having given my life to Christ at the age of 15, my first experience of church was bewildering to say the least. I enjoy many types of music, particularly heavy rock, so I struggled to understand why I might suddenly develop a taste for organ music and choirs.

For many years I've volunteered as a "techie" with "The Message", working in schools and gigs of all shapes and sizes, Ive done "tech" roles for numerous Christian bands as well as managing one for a few years. I've also worked with "In Yer Face Christian Theatre Company" both as a techie and chairman of the trustee board. Over the years I've had the joy of seeing thousands of young people come to faith and grow in their faith, and it's my vision and hope to see vibrant youth work across Calderdale.

In the course of my life I've been a fireman, a navigator in the Merchant Navy, a cycle shop manager and many other jobs too numerous to mention.
